Computer

The computer plays a big part in my life. I use it to communicate with relatives and friends, also computer helps me to type essays, in addition I use computer to watch movies, listen music, and of course it is the way to global source of information – internet.
But before I bought my computer, I had more time to read books, to walk and play soccer for example and many healthy pastimes. How I was living without computer? Everything what now I can do with computer’s help I did in more complicate way, but also more natural way.
Before the computer I communicated with my parents and friends writing letters, and it is better to have real paper with handwritten words than electronic ones, because the reader has a deeper feeling of the writer’s presence. On the other hand I was writing essays on paper, but I think in this case the computer helps very much. I must not rewrite the whole essay if I make mistakes. I just erase it with a couple clicks.
What is bad also that I never watched so many movies before the computer and maybe it was saving my eyes, but now my sight is lower and I think the main cause is the computer. But otherwise, I could not know so many interesting things as I can now just by watching movies. In a movie, I cannot only read or listen about things but I can also see them. For example, it is hard to imagine what is happening in the deepest bottom of the ocean, but they show it to me in a movie of Custeau’s crew.
As special topic we have internet. I hate the internet because I spend a big part of the time on it just searching unnecessary things as they were necessary. It makes me stupid and lazy after just one hour. Also I hate it because half part of my life lies in artificial world of internet. However, I need the internet to find everything that I want to know. Also, I use internet to load movies and music, and for relationships with my friends, so it helps me. But before the internet, I loved encyclopedias, and if I had some question I would look for answer in books or ask people. I do not think that I can not find answers to any questions in books or in answers of people, and I am sure internet can not give me such answers as people can.
In my opinion, the computer and the internet are dangerous for man, they make us weaker and dependent; it is better to have natural problems with writing essays on paper than an unnatural life all day watching a screen. But I typed my essay on the computer….
